• Hydrate the Cocopeat. Cocopeat usually comes as a dry block or loose powder, and needs water to expand and get rid of salts. How to do it: Place the cocopeat in a large container or bucket. Add water slowly. Let it soak for 15–30 minutes until it fluffs up. Rinse it apart with your hands or a tool if needed.
