Dharmasut Black salt has antioxidant properties and has surprisingly healthy contents. Black salt is also known as Kala Namak or Himalayan Black salt in many places It stimulates bile production in the liver and helps control heartburn and bloating. Traditionally black salt has been used to enhance the taste of deep-fried foods. It is used to add flavour to snacks such as Besan masala peanuts and fried chana to give it a chatpata taste. Additionally it is used as a condiment in preparing various chaats such as Dahi vada Bhel puri and Pani Puri.
